Warmhole is a company whose core business area is innovation and technology consultancy, energy consulting, and the creation and development of own and smart Businesse Intelligence (BI) solutions for management control and Thermal Solar Systems (TSS) optimization. Warmhole’s business concept lines up high-tech, creative and innovative solutions with the monitoring of their implementation.


Expected Results:

- Launching of a new Business Intelligence product;

- Export intensity of 73% of post-project turnover;

- Turnover in excess of 1.8 million euros in post-project.

Objectives, activities and expected results

Objective and activities: With this project of internationalization the company aims at a diversification strategy, through entry into new markets, namely Brazil, Angola, Colombia and Mozambique and for the launch of new products and services. To this end, it has planned activities related to:

 - Knowledge of foreign markets;
 - Presence on the web, through the digital economy;
 - Development and international promotion of the brand;
 - Prospecting and presence in international markets;
 - International Marketing;
 - Specific certifications for the external market;
 - Introduction of a new method of organization in commercial practices or external relations. 
 Expected results:
 - Export volume of 63.35% in the post-project;
 - Penetration in four external markets.

Goals, activities and expected results:

Conceptually, IOST is an energy management system in real time that combines the user’s habits of consumption with the prediction of solar radiation available in the next 24 hours (in 30 minutes’ intervals), considering the interference and variation of different meteorological conditions.  

At IOST’s core, will reside a powerful evolutionary algorithm and adaptive artificial intelligence, that will adapt the control law used according to consumption habits and history and forecast values of the available solar radiation. Therefore, even though IOST is presented as an Energetic Efficiency and Rational Utilization solution, it’s control base will have Information and Communication Technology (ICT), not only regarding the control software, but also the developments that will be advocated at the communications level, and the inclusion of a small Business Intelligence module for data collection, processing and presentation. 

Being a web-based solution, IOST is part of the Internet of Things (IoT) theme, requiring considerable developments of electronics, hardware, software and communications.


Expected Results:

- To market an intelligent, turnkey solution to optimize the operation of the Thermal Solar System, allowing energy savings up to 35% and a cost reduction on the energy bill up to 50%.
